Post: Khwisero Electrification Project to Benefit 180 Households

Khwisero: An estimated 180 households in Kisa North Ward, Khwisero Sub County, are set to benefit from rural electrification in the region. Area MP Christopher Aseka said the plan marks another milestone in the journey of accessing and bringing electricity closer to the people.

According to Kenya News Agency, the ambitious project will be undertaken by the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC). The legislator was speaking yesterday when REREC dropped poles at Ebutanyi Junction village, Mundobelwa sublocation, ready for the work. "This project brings power closer to over 180 households, thus improving livelihoods and offering opportunities for our people," he said.

Aseka stated that the last-mile electricity connectivity will be a crucial factor for sustainable development. He added that his commitment remains strong and he will strive to achieve 80% electricity connectivity in Khwisero by 2027. "Access to electricity is not about lighting our homes. It is about powering our dreams and businesses to improve quality of life," he said.
