Post: Koudougou: 100 Brigadiers Recruited for Urban Sanitation

Koudougou: A computerized draw to recruit one hundred (100) brigadiers, as part of the government's social measures for the year 2025, and aimed at strengthening sanitation activities in ten municipalities of the country, took place at the town hall of Koudougou, on July 11.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the process was marked by an innovative and transparent approach, using a fully computerized selection system to ensure impartiality. This recruitment is aimed at a total of ten municipalities: Koudougou, Tenkodogo, Ziniar©, Fada N'Gourma, Niangoloko, Gaoua, Koup©la, Manga, D©dougou, and Banfora.

Of the many applicants, 100 crossing guards were selected and another 30 were placed on a waiting list. Captain Ollo Palenfo of the Technical Secretariat for Labor-Intensive Road Works (ST-TRHIMO), who oversaw the operation, emphasized the absence of any human manipulation thanks to the complete computerization of the process, thus ensuring a fair selection. The results were made public immediately. Successful candidates are expected to report to the town hall as early as Monday, July 14, 2025, for essential vaccinations against tetanus and typhoid fever.

Captain Palenfo praised the successful integration of online drawing and digital recruitment, the result of a fruitful collaboration with the Information Systems Department of the Ministry in charge of infrastructure. Despite some technical slowdowns related to the connection, he judged this first experience to be very positive overall.

The president of the Koudougou special delegation, Am©d©e Par©, expressed his satisfaction with this initiative. He congratulated the developers for their perseverance and emphasized the importance of future brigadiers. According to him, their action will significantly contribute to the improvement of the urban living environment, while offering recruits an essential source of income for their socio-economic integration.

Following the ceremony, Captain Palenfo led a field visit to assess the condition of the previously identified gutters. He emphasized the need to replace dead trees and maintain regular infrastructure maintenance. He also congratulated the traders who had already cleaned their surroundings and encouraged those who had not yet done so to follow suit.
