Local elections-Tunis II (Ksar El Bortal-Le Bardo): Three candidates promise to create citizen enterprises

The three candidates in the local council elections, from the constituency of Ksar El Bortal-Le Bardo, Badii Jelassi, Marouen Ben Chikha and Tahar Lakhal, promised, if elected, to create citizen enterprises in the region in a bid to help young people access the economic life.

Speaking to TAP, the three candidates presented their electoral programmes which focused on developing the «Imada», by creating citizen enterprises, preserving the environment, ensuring public cleanliness and providing social protection to poor families.

In his electoral programme which bears the slogan «Tomorrow Is a Better Day», Badii Jelassi underlined to launch a summer festival, create multidisciplinary sports clubs, establish a dispensary, build a school and renovate the Ksar Saïd I primary school.

Candidate for the same constituency, Marouen Ben Chikha, promised to help young people invest in citizen enterprises, consolidate small and medium-sized enterprises and provide assistance to poor families.

He also promised to find ra
dical solutions to the issue of cleanliness and environmental protection by implementing local development projects.

Candidate Tahar Lakhal, who named his electoral programme “Development and Employment”, pledged to fight against rising prices.

He also promised, if elected, to give special attention to needy families, the elderly, persons with special needs and widows.

He stressed the need to provide job opportunities to the unemployed among young people and help them with funds.

32 candidates are competing for the local elections in Bardo, distributed between 8 women and 24 men, including two candidates with special needs.
