Post: Makenene faces 72-hour blackout

The town of Makenene, located between the Center and West Regions, has been plunged into darkness for four days and counting. Residents of the locality, a popular stopover for travelers and considered an ‘intervening opportunity’ by geographers, are baffled by the sudden power outage, especially given the lack of communication from the electricity management company, ENEO.

The blackout has occurred just days after the start of the new school year, causing significant disruptions for students and their families. Many residents remain hopeful that the power supply will be restored soon to enable students to study effectively.

As of now, there is no official explanation for the prolonged outage, and residents are anxiously awaiting updates from ENEO regarding the cause of the problem and the anticipated restoration timeline.
