Premier League club Manchester United have agreed to sign Andre Onana from Serie A side Inter Milan, for a fee of €50 million.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper is expected to stay at Old Trafford until June 2028 plus an option until 2029.
The deal will make him one of the most expensive goalkeepers in football history, behind Kepa in his move to Chelsea (€80m), Alisson to Liverpool (€62.5m), and Gigi Buffon to Juventus (€52.5m).
An official announcement of the agreement is expected in the days ahead.
Inter have begun the search for the 27-year-old’s replacement. They have made bids for Yann Sommer from Bayern and Anatolji Trubin from Shakhtar.
Andre Onana takes the place of David de Gea who parted ways with Man U after a 12-year spell.
