Tunis: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad is currently working on organising a national forum for Tunisian experts abroad, with the main objective of increasing their contribution to the development process in Tunisia, Minister Nabil Ammar said as he met Monday in Tunis Riad Bouaziz, a Tunisian expert living in France.
The forum also aims to strengthen the ties of Tunisian experts overseas with their country and create networking opportunities between them in their various specialisations and countries of residence, Nabil Ammar was quoted as saying in a ministry statement.
The foreign minister reiterated the importance the country attaches to Tunisian experts abroad in order to contribute to the image of Tunisia and support the country’s development projects, both through their expertise and through their links with influential circles in their countries of residence.
For his part, Riad Bouaziz presented a summary of the main projects and activities of the Foundation he heads and the network of relations he has with economic circles in France and the rest of the world, particularly those influential in the textile, tourism and aeronautical sectors.
He reiterated his support for the idea of organising a national forum for Tunisian experts living abroad and expressed his willingness to help enrich its results.
