Mombasa industrialist and philanthropist Hasmukh 'Hasu' Patel, was finally cremated on Sunday afternoon at the Buxton Hindu crematorium, accordance with Hindu traditions.The ceremony was attended by several leaders from Kenya, Uganda, and India.The funeral procession of the tycoon started at the Pandya Memorial Hospital, a few minutes past 9am brought Mombasa City to standstill, as hundreds of residents lining up the streets to bid their final farewell to the philanthropist, who has had a profound impact not only in Mombasa but other neighboring counties, including Kilifi and Kwale.Residents and leaders from across the divide congregated at the New Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj Hall in Nyali to pay tribute to the business icon.
