Post: Namentenga: Nearly 3.4 billion FCFA invested in the municipalities of Tougouri and Yalgo

Ouagadougou: Nearly 3.4 billion FCFA were invested in the municipalities of Tougouri and Yalgo (Namentenga) as part of the Community Recovery and Stabilization Project in the Sahel (PCRSS). The information was given by members of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) , during their 2nd ordinary session held on August 9, 2024 in Boulsa under the presidency of the High Commissioner, Adama Conseiga .Nearly 3.4 billion FCFA in investments were made in Tougouri and Yalgo, two municipalities of intervention of the Community Recovery and Stabilization Project in the Sahel (PCRSS).The aim of the project in the province of Namentenga is to contribute to the recovery and stabilization of populations affected by the security crisis.To this end, the commune of Yalgo benefited from 1.4 billion FCFA in investments compared to 2 billion FCFA for that of Tougouri.Construction and equipment of educational infrastructures, training of young people and women in several social sectors such as masonry, mechanics, sewing, breeding are , among others , the activities carried out.The 5 provincial directorates have made recommendations for the well-being of the populations.According to the regional head of the PCRSSand regional director of economy and planning for the Center-North in Moussa Sawadogo , the project also intends to build in Boulsa , the provincial financial control directorate and support consultation frameworks at the provincial and municipal levels .It should be noted that Tougouri and Y algo are part of the 9 project intervention municipalities in the North-Central region. These 9 municipalities will benefit , according to the head of the station , from more than 11.5 billion FCFA over the next two years.The communications from the provincial directors in charge of Education, Agriculture, Humanitarian Action , Sports and Leisure , Water and Sanitation focused on their respective activities. Responses were provided to participants' concerns during the discussions.They also recommended to the Cent er-North regional council to relaunch the construction work on the municipal land, the creation of a local water police , with a view to facilitating effective monitoring of the quality of the water . 'water.The participants also urged raising awareness among young people on the issues of noise pollution and acrobatics on public roads during certain events with regard to the security context.Sociocultural and sporting activities are underway with the aim of strengthening civil-military collaboration . The president of the CCP thanked the participants for their commitment and the PCRSS for its invaluable support for the development of the province.Source : Burkina Information Agency
