The Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills Development, Shadrack Mwadime, urged all stakeholders to continually work together towards making the goals of the nation a success as he reassured the Sector Training Committees of the government's unwavering support.

According to Kenya News Agency, in a speech read on his behalf by Secretary Administrator in the State Department of Labour and Skills Development, Herman Shambi, Mwadime congratulated the 12 STCs for their outstanding roles in their new posts after inauguration. Speaking at the event, Chairman of the National Industrial Training Board (NITB), Aden Noor Ali, described their routine as that of shared commitment, fostering skills, with an inclusive and globally competitive workforce.

The Chairman emphasized that the establishment of this routine results from a collective commitment to bridging the gap between industry demand and working skills. "I feel that we need to train our people so that they can work for themselves," noted Ali as he congratulated the STCs on their new positions.

In her remarks, NITB Director General Theresa Wasike disclosed that the 3rd cycle of the Inauguration 2024-2027 was restructured to 12 STCs, compared to the 1st and 2nd cycles of 2016 and 2020, respectively, which were initially structured at 9 STCs.
