Post: Nigeria: first license for a floating LNG plant

The Nigerian Petroleum Regulatory Authority has awarded UTM Offshore Limited a license to operate the first floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant. The project aims to develop flared gas from an ExxonMobil field in the Niger Delta. The plant, with a capacity of 2.8 million tonnes per year, will begin production in 2029, supported by $2.1 billion in financing from Afreximbank.Source: Africa News Agency
