The World Bank has approved three operations totaling $1.57 billion to support the Nigerian government in strengthening its human capital. These initiatives aim to improve the health of women, children, and adolescents, enhance resilience to the effects of climate change, and improve dam safety and irrigation. The funding includes $500 million for the HOPE-GOV program, $570 million for HOPE-PHC, and $500 million for the SPIN project. This approval, dated September 26, 2024, underscores the World Bank’s commitment to helping Nigeria tackle challenges in education and health.
