Tunis: Nearly one million 200 thousand people working in vulnerable sectors will benefit from the platform dedicated to self-employment that will be launched at end September, said Adel Chouari, director general of the National Business Registre (RNE).
In an interview with TAP TV, Chouari added that this platform, aimed at vulnerable groups working in various sectors (domestic workers, couriers and others), would provide them with social protection, especially in the current absence of a legal framework for these sectors.
The platform, which will be overseen by the RNE, will not only have economic objectives, but will also play a social role for vulnerable groups by creating a general database, Chouari explained, adding that registration will take place gradually.
With regard to the main messages addressed to business operators, Chouari stressed that there is a complementary relationship between them and the RNE, which offers them a protection mechanism.
The trust factor between the two parties remains pa
ramount, according to him.
‘Any investor looking for a partner in Tunisia should contact the RNE,” he concluded. He added that it was in the interest of companies to make their data available to the RNE, where it would be protected.
