Post: Poni: 2 Dead and 21 Injured in a Road Accident on the Gaoua-DiEbougou Axis

Poni: A minibus coming from Ivory Coast overturned Friday morning near the village of Lantao, on the Gaoua-DiEbougou road, resulting in 2 deaths, both twin children, and 21 injuries, including 3 in serious condition. The victims were immediately transported to the Gaoua Regional Hospital Centre (CHR), where they were treated by an emergency team made up of surgeons, doctors, pharmacists, imaging specialists, and nurses.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the hospital's interim director general, Jean-Fran§ois YamEogo, stated, "We were alerted around 7:30 a.m. and all arrangements were made to treat the patients." The driver of the minibus reported that the vehicle rolled over after a rear wheel burst. The minibus was heading to Ouagadougou from AzopE in Ivory Coast.
