Nakuru: Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, led a relief distribution exercise in Tiriki East, standing in solidarity with widows, widowers, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities (PWDs) grappling with hunger.
According to Kenya News Agency, Dr. Imbunya, who was accompanied by National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) led by Tiriki East Deputy County Commissioner Mike Too, emphasized the government's commitment to cushioning vulnerable households from hardship.
During the visit, the PS distributed foodstuffs alongside mattresses, blankets, and soap, saying the support was meant not only to address immediate needs but also to restore dignity among beneficiaries.
'The smiles, songs, and warm handshakes we witnessed today remind us that government service is about humanity at its core,' Dr. Imbunya said, reaffirming President William Ruto's pledge that no one will be left behind.
The PS noted that the government will continue to strengthen resilience and build a social safety net to ensure all Kenyans are carried through difficult times.
Grateful residents broke into song and dance during the exercise, thanking the government for the gesture.
