Post: PSC Schedules Interviews for Key Registrar Positions in Political Parties

Nairobi: The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the scheduling of interviews for the vacant positions of Registrar of Political Parties and Assistant Registrar of Political Parties. These interviews are set to take place on Monday, 11th August 2025, at the Commission House on Harambee Avenue.

According to Kenya News Agency, the PSC has shortlisted ten candidates for each position from a large pool of applicants. The interview schedule, which includes the names, counties, and interview times of the candidates, has been made available on the PSC website and was published in the print media on Thursday, 7th August 2025.

Browne Kutswa, PSC Director of Public Communication, stated in a press release that the selection process is proceeding following the conclusion of the application period, which spanned from 15th July to 5th August 2025. This process aligns with the requirements of Sections 33, 34, and 34A of the Political Parties Act, Cap 7D. The positions were advertised through various media outlets, ensuring widespread awareness.

Kutswa emphasized that the shortlisted candidates represent regional diversity, gender equity, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities, reflecting the constitutional values and the Commission's dedication to inclusivity in public appointments. Candidates are required to arrive at least 20 minutes before their interview with original identification, academic, and professional documents as specified in the shortlisting notice.

Members of the public with credible information about the suitability of any candidate were encouraged to submit such information through sworn affidavits to the Commission or via email by Friday, 8th August 2025. The interviews will also be livestreamed on the Commission's YouTube channel and social media platforms, allowing public access to the proceedings.
