President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso renewed commitment to support Tunisia’s reform efforts and keep contributing to the funding of priority projects.

This was as she met Monday in Tunis with Minister of Economy and Planning Feryel Ouerghi Sabïi.

The European bank will continue to provide technical support to stimulate the economic activity in Tunisia and help increase growth and improve social conditions.

Opportunities to scale up technical and financial cooperation, in line with national priorities, also took centre stage.

Tunisia has built on the bank’s expertise and boost partnership in priority areas such as the green economy, institutional support and digitisation.

The EBRD has invested since the start of its operations in Tunisia in 2012 over 2.1 billion euros to implement 69 projects. It has provided so far 1,200 small and medium-sized enterprises with an European Union-funded technical support.
