Tenkodogo: Several members of the government, led by Minister Mahamoudou Sana, visited the new high school graduates in patriotic immersion at the National Institute for the Training of Education Personnel (INFPE, formerly ENEP) in Tenkodogo on Saturday. The officials praised the educational achievements and urged the young people to cultivate patriotism, civic-mindedness, and discipline, as a guarantee of national construction.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began with the raising of the colors. After a close-order demonstration, the governor of the Nakambe region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, welcomed the authorities.
The delegation included the Minister of Security, the Minister of Infrastructure, the Minister of Digital Transition, the Minister of Mines and Energy, and the Secretary General of the Government. Also present were the Chief of Staff of the President of Burkina Faso and the Secretary General of the President.
These officials visited the INFPE and the Naaba Zoungrana high school to see firsthand the progress of the patriotic immersion of new high school graduates, a program soon to be completed, launched to instill civic and republican values in young people.
On behalf of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and the Prime Minister, Minister Mahamoudou Sana delivered a message of encouragement and firmness. He first invited the audience to pay tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), saluting their selflessness and determination. A minute of silence was observed in memory of the fallen soldiers.
The minister reiterated that this training goes beyond the academic framework: "It also aims to instill values in you: patriotism, civic-mindedness, discipline. We will never be able to build this country without these virtues," he declared. He urged young people to preserve these skills and pass them on to their juniors and their communities.
Referring to geopolitical changes, he emphasized that Burkina Faso's political direction is clear: to definitively break with the shackles of imperialism. He called on high school graduates to prepare to assume a leading role in the continuation of this national project.
Minister Sana expressed particular satisfaction that this first cohort was composed exclusively of young girls. "As future mothers, you will pass on these values in your homes and have a greater impact on society," he insisted.
The government members' visit to Tenkodogo ended with congratulations and encouragement to the graduates for the continuation of their immersion. For Minister Sana, the message from the highest authorities can be summed up in two words: "congratulations and encouragement," with the hope that these young women will become pillars of national construction.
