Tindi Mwale Hails Governor Barasa for Completion of Butere Hospital


Butere: Butere MP Tindi Mwale has praised Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa for the completion of a modern level 4 hospital in the area. Mwale described the project as a landmark development that will significantly impact healthcare in the constituency and improve the wellbeing of residents.



According to Kenya News Agency, Mwale emphasized that Governor Barasa has shown genuine concern for the people of Butere, particularly women and children, by expediting the completion of the hospital and ensuring it meets high service standards. He stated that the new facility will alleviate the burden on existing health centres and offer expanded services in maternal health, diagnostic care, and outpatient treatment.



Mwale expressed that Governor Barasa has proven his commitment to the interests of Butere residents. The legislator highlighted that the hospital will enhance access to healthcare and decrease the need for referrals to Kakamega and other distant hospitals. He noted that the modern facility signifies progress for not only Butere but the entire county.



Additionally, Mwale disclosed that plans are underway to establish a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in Butere. This initiative is being led by the Butere NG-CDF in collaboration with the National and County governments. Mwale, speaking in the area, affirmed that the partnership between leaders will continue to bring transformative projects to the people of Butere.
