Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mounir Ben Rjiba, and Venezuela’s Deputy Minister for Africa of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimentel Moura, signed on Thursday an agreement exempting holders of diplomatic and special passports from both countries from the visa requirement. The two diplomats reaffirmed their full solidarity with the Palestinian people and exchanged views on ways to fully support the resilient Palestinian people in the face of the Zionist onslaught, a ministry statement said. Secretary of State Ben Rjiba underlined the strong bonds of friendship between Tunisia and Venezuela and reiterated Tunisia’s firm commitment to further enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new horizons, particularly in the fields of food security, energy and climate change. For his part, the Venezuelan Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is on a working visit to Tunisia on October 12 and 13, underlined the strong Tunisian-Venezuelan friendship based on mutual respect and Venezuela’s determination to continue developing cooperation with Tunisia.
