Tunis: «Tunisia is willing to foster collaboration between African countries in the fight against cancer,» said, Tuesday morning, Health Minister, Ali Mrabet, in a meeting, at the ministry's headquarters, with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).The meeting focused on the IAEA's "Rays of Hope" initiative aimed at providing most African countries with the scientific and technical means necessary for the treatment of cancer.The meeting also shed light on solutions likely to support the efforts made by Tunisia in treating cancer through radiotherapy.«Tunisia is willing to welcome patients from various African countries and share its expertise in the field,» he pointed out.Mrabet expressed his department's commitment to boost cooperation with the IAEA, reiterating that «fostering collaboration with the agency's member countries will ensure the success of the Rays of Hope project, especially after Tunisia's membership in the anchor centers of this initiative in Africa.»Source: Agence Tunis Afr ique Presse
