Tunis: A Jendouba Civil Protection team on Tuesday evening joined the Algerian Civil Protection in extinguishing a fire that had broken out in a forest on the Algerian territory, more precisely on the border line in Bayadha (Ghardimaou), hence preventing the flames from spreading to the Tunisian soil, reads a Civil Protection press release.
A Civil Protection fire truck and vehicle and a Forestry Directorate fire truck were sent to help put out the fire, the same source reads.
Tunisia and Algeria have a cooperation agreement in the civil protection field that dates back to 1985.
