Post: Week of Sea kicks off in Tabarka

Tunis: WWF North Africa announced the launch on July 7 of the 14th edition of the Week of the Sea, in collaboration with the National Institute of Agronomic Research of Tunisia (INRAT) and Okianos- an environment consulting company.This is a scientific event to which Tabarka, northwestern Tunisia, is playing host until July 12. It is an opportunity for students and young researchers to discover the marine environment from a scientific perspective.The Week of the Sea is designed to foster knowledge of the maritime world. Practical activities are on the agenda in addition to lectures, interactive workshops, site visits to the coastal region of Sidi Mechreg to monitor marine habitats and boat trips to observe cetacean species.It also serves as a platform of networking for professionals, researchers and students.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
