Tunisian Ahmed Ayoub Hafnaouiu bagged the gold medal at the World Aquatics Championships – Fukuoka 800m freestyle competition, clocking 7:37.00. Australian Samuel Short finished second (7:37.76), followed by US Bobby Finke (7:38.67). This is Hafnaoui’s first gold medal in these championships; he also won a silver in the 400m freestyle. Hafnaoui will also compete in the 1500m freestyle.
