Tunis: The 6th “Ensemble d’Art Contemporain” symposium will be held on April 13-May 4 in the Yasmine Hammamet medina, with the participation of painters, sculptors and engravers from 22 countries, namely Tunisia, Mexico, India, Algeria, Russia, Italy, Iraq, Spain, Romania, Poland, Lebanon, Belgium, Jordan, Netherlands, Uruguay, France, USA, Morocco, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Kuwait.
Organised by the “Ensemble” foir Contemporary Art organisation chaired by Artist Rim Ayari, this gathering of various forms of plastic art, which will feature workshops throughout the event, will help the participants produce works of art that will be exhibited at the closing ceremony.
Tributes will also be paid to two Tunisian artists, namely engraver and draughtsman Mohamed Ben Miftah and sculptor Abdelaziz Krid.
Visits to the archaeological sites of Carthage and Oudhna, Sidi Bou Saïd, the Bardo National Museum and the Medina of Tunis are also on the agenda.
