Nyeri: With less than a month remaining, the Agricultural Society of Kenya has confirmed that all is set for the 57th Edition of the annual Central ASK show. The agricultural fair is slated to take place at the Kabiru-ini showground in Nyeri from September 10 to September 13 under the theme Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.
According to Kenya News Agency, Central Kenya ASK show chairman Patrick Munuhe stated that the theme aligns with the government's agenda on promoting the adoption of climate smart initiatives in agriculture. He emphasized that this year's show would focus on promoting sustainability, resilience, and innovation as pillars of economic advancement. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with new knowledge and technological advancements in the field of agriculture and trade.
Munuhe explained that the show will feature live demonstrations, expert-led workshops, and hands-on training. The event is designed to foster knowledge exchange, collaborations, and industry growth. Exhibitors will present cutting-edge solutions and emerging trends that reinforce the show's critical role in driving Kenya's agricultural transformation.
The technologies on display will include the latest innovations in water management, post-harvest solutions, renewable energy use in agriculture, new innovations in agriculture mechanization, and the latest climate-resilient crop varieties and seeds. Farmers will also have the opportunity to explore available agribusiness financing opportunities.
The chairman highlighted that the show aims to accelerate the adoption of climate smart practices in agriculture and provide a platform for networking among farmers, policy makers, industry players, and investors. This networking aims to build partnerships that could strengthen the growth of the agriculture sector.

He noted that 150 exhibitors from the finance, agriculture, housing, hospitality, education, and manufacturing sectors have already booked demonstration farms and exhibition stands ahead of the September 9 deadline. The show is expected to host 300 exhibitors from the public and private sectors.
