Post: Bamenda:Soldiers bundles possessors of separatist liberation tax receipt to custody

CNA has learned that some persons in possession of 'amba liberation tax receipt' have been picked across the city of Bamenda into military custody July 29, 2024.A Bamenda based newsman has confirmed seven calls received from various spots around the town notifying of the arrests.He said in a private note that a bar owner around Fons street, two around Hospital Round-about, and one from T-Junction reported by 5 pm Friday.The source further disclosed that he got calls by 9 pm of persons being picked by Old Treasury Street. The exact location of their custody is yet to be confirmed.Denizens of Bamenda were forced to pay taxes and be in possession of the receipt inorder to evade separatist punishment.This however has continued to put the population in the front line of exchanges with Law Enforcement officers of Cameroon.Source: Cameroon News Agency
