Post: Economic Operator Donates Fuel to Strengthen Security Forces in Zondoma

Ouagadougou: Economic operator El Adj Arouna Ouedraogo has made a notable contribution to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in Zondoma by providing fuel vouchers valued at two million CFA francs. The donation was officially presented to the province's High Commissioner, Aboubacar Sidiki Nabe, in Gourcy.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation is divided equally, with one million CFA francs allocated for the FDS and another million for the VDP. El Adj Arouna Ouedraogo, Chairman and CEO of the Teega Wende Company, handed over the vouchers as part of his contribution to the national liberation efforts. He emphasized the importance of supporting those on the front lines, stating, "If we can peacefully carry out our activities, it is because other citizens are holding the front lines. We cannot therefore avoid this struggle."

The High Commissioner noted that the donation is timely and will enhance the operational capabilities of the troops. He referred to the act as a patriotic commitment aligned with the Head of State's call for resilience among Burkinabe citizens and efforts for the total reconquest of national territory. The High Commissioner expressed hope that this gesture would inspire others to contribute similarly.

Gourcy Gendarmerie Brigade Commander Boureima Niamba, representing the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude and pledged to use the fuel wisely. The voucher presentation ceremony, held at the Gourcy High Commission, saw attendance from Marcel M. Savadogo, a mission officer at the Presidency of Faso for the Yaadga Region, and Youssouf Ouedraogo, Deputy to the Transitional Legislative Assembly, also known as "Kitoko."

At the event, the Regional representative at the ALT echoed the call for regional citizens to engage in development initiatives. The donation fulfills a promise made by El Adj Arouna Ouedraogo during a maracana final organized by the Tilgre Youth Association at the Place de la Nation in Gourcy.
