Framework agreement to hire 40 young Tunisians by Italian companies signed

The National Agency for Employment and Self-Employment (French: ANETI) and the Tunisian Vocational Training Agency (ATFP) signed, on Tuesday in Tunis, with the Italian Association of Building and Public Works, a framework agreement aimed at recruiting, in a first stage, 40 young Tunisians trained in the construction and public works sector to work for companies in Italy. The signing ceremony took place was attended by Chief of Staff of the Employment and Vocational Training Ministry Abdelkader Jamali, Italian Ambassador to Tunisia Fabrizio Saggio, ANETI representative Farihane Qorbi Bousoufara and ATFP representative Marouène Ben Slimane. Jamali told reporters that this agreement is a continuation of the memorandum of understanding signed between Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nabil Ammar and Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani on October 20 in Tunis. The memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two countries in managing regular migratory flows provides for an annual quota of 4,000 non-seasonal employment positions over a period of three years. The 40 beneficiaries of this project will take Italian language courses as well as courses on safety in construction sites within a training establishment in Tunis. They will receive a monthly 150-dinar grant prior to their recruitment in Italy with a permanent contract, Jamali added. The Italian ambassador to Tunisia stressed that this agreement will open up new horizons to Tunisian workers to access the the Italian labor market according to their needs, within the framework of Tunisian-Italian cooperation in the field of employment and training.
