Yatenga: As part of the rotating colors in the various decentralized services of the city of Ouahigouya, the governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, invited the agents of the Regional University Hospital Center (CHUR) of Ouahigouya on Monday, August 11, 2025, to maintain the course for the sovereignty of Burkina Faso. Accompanied by his colleagues and the constituted bodies as well as the FDS, the governor attended the traditional raising of the colors at the CHUR of Ouahigouya. At 7:30 a.m., in the courtyard of the CHUR, the victory anthem was sung in chorus to mark the belonging of all to the Homeland of the Men of Integrity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor praised the strong mobilization around the national colors, which constitutes a patriotic act. He stated that the holding of the raising of the colors at the CHUR aims firstly to congratulate the health personnel for the sacrifices already made. "It is also a signal to invite you to greater commitment and to stay the course for the sovereignty of the country," declared the region's governor, Thomas Yampa.
Speaking, the Director General of the Ouahigouya University Hospital, Dr. Simplice P. Eric Bonkoungou, praised the authority for choosing his structure to host this ascent of colors. "The Ouahigouya University Hospital is a symbol of our commitment to the nation's values, a symbol of hope in the service of the health of the populations in the northern region. We remain open to all synergies and collaborations with established bodies, communities, technical and financial partners, to offer populations ever safer, more effective and humane care," declared Mr. Bonkoungou.
