Post: HRMPEB Board releases CHRP examination results for 1427 candidates

Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board (HRMPEB) has released the results of 1427 candidates who were examined under old and revised Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) curriculum.The candidates sat for the examinations on June 12, 2024 for various courses which were done in seven exam centres countrywide.Out of the 1427 candidates, 581 sat for old CHRP curriculum whose courses included business communication, organizational development and transformation, human resource administration, employee relations, human resource, research project, introduction to finance accounting, reward management and human resource accounting.The other 846 candidates sat for the CHRP revised curriculum whose courses were human resource management, strategic leadership, ethics and governance, financial accounting, employee relations and labour laws, human resource consultancy and advisory, business law, performance management and productivity and human resource audit.Releasing the results at Mwa limu Towers in Nairobi, HRMPEB Board Chairperson Sharon Kisire announced that the overall best recorded performance was business communication with 100 percent pass while the lowest recorded performance rate was in organizational development and transformation course at 82.8 percent all in the CHRP old curriculum.Kisire mentioned strategic leadership, ethics and governance as the best recorded performance in the CHRP revised at 100 percent pass while the lowest recorded was financial accounting at 53.52 percent.She announced that the Board has now transitioned from two examination series to three, with exams scheduled in April, August, and December which would commence in April 2025.'All training institutions and students are encouraged to align with the new exam schedule to ensure a smooth transition into the revised examination timetable,' said Kisire.She at the same time outlined the milestone programme of HRMPEB in the administration of competency Based Education and Training Courses (CBET) in dip loma and certificate programmes whose accreditation would be granted to institutions namely Kabete National Polytechnic, Eldoret National Polytechnic, Sigalagala National Polytechnic, The Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, KCA University and Kabarak University among others.'This accreditation is crucial for the successful rollout of the CBET Diploma and Certificate in Human Resource Management,' Kisire stated.The Chairperson said the Board has successfully launched a new Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and corporate image, which she noted would play a pivotal role in propelling the organization towards its goals and vision.'HRMPEB remains committed to advancing the standards and recognition of human resource management professionals through rigorous examination processes and continuous development of relevant curricula,' she added.Speaking at the event, the National Chairperson of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Council Odero Dalmas observed that the Revised CHRP Programme was gaining signif icant popularity, noting that the examining of 846 candidates, marks a substantial increase from the 620 candidates examined in November 2023.Odero congratulated the candidates on their achievement observing that out of the 1427 candidates 1123 were female.He made a clarion call to the male gender to explore human resource field and consider pursuing CHRP certification in order to bring diverse perspective to the profession.'I call upon all human resource professional to embrace the CHRP certification programme to enhance their capability and contribute in uplifting the human resource professional in the country,' Odero reiterated.Source: Kenya News Agency
