Post: Over 300 reports of water-access issues in June 2024 (OTE)

Tunis: Nearly 305 reports of water-related issues were logged by the Tunisian Water Observatory (OTE) in June 2024.This covers the quality of water provided by national utilty SONEDE, unannounced cuts, leaks and protests to claim the right to access water.The reports logged on the observatory's website (www.watchwater.tn) are as follows: 6 on water quality, 262 on cuts, 19 in connection to protests and 18 on leaks.Gafsa took the lead with 32 reports, followed by by Sfax (30). The governorates of Sousse, Mahdia, Sidi Bouzid, El Kef and Kasserine were also heavily affected.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
