Tunis: The Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP) will hold a plenary session on Tuesday to examine a proposal of draft organic law No. 23 for 2023 on the rights of beneficiaries of health services and medical liability.This proposal, drafted by a group of MPs, consists of 6 chapters and 55 articles. It defines the rights of patients in health care institutions, as well as the mechanisms for quality, safety and prevention of risks and damages related to health care services and the medical liability system for health care professionals and health care institutions, according to Article 1.The provisions of this law apply to health professionals, health establishments and diagnostic, treatment, research and experimental centres that provide health services in the public and private sectors, as well as drug manufacturing laboratories and manufacturers and suppliers of medical devices and equipment.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
