Gaoua: As a prelude to the Regional Culture Week (SRC), a choreography training session was organized for cultural actors in the Poni province. This initiative aims to strengthen their skills to improve their performances during the upcoming regional competitions.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the training session for Poni's cultural troupes was held in the Gaoua multipurpose hall on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Modeste DA, the representative of the provincial director of communication, culture, arts, and tourism, highlighted that this initiative was driven by the observation of the insufficient performance of the province's troupes during the two previous editions of the SRC. This identified need led to capacity building to enhance the level of performance.
The trainer, Adama KOT€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°, praised the participants' interest and outlined the main stages of choreographic creation: the conception of the dance idea, the selection and arrangement of movements, the development of the final structure, and the fine-tuning of the smallest details for a harmonious execution.
Among the beneficiaries, Hien Si© expressed satisfaction with the training, stating, "We learned a lot of things that will allow us to improve our performances for future competitions."
In conclusion, this session marks an important step in the preparation of Poni artists, who are called upon to represent their province during the next Regional Culture Week.
