Protesters rally, in front of ARP, against postponement of plenary on bill criminalising standardization

Political activists, deputies and students, Monday, gathered in front of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP), in Bardo, to protest against the decision of the ARP Speaker on postponing Monday’s plenary session on reviewing the bill criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity. Protesters were chanting slogans calling on the parliament to comply with Tunisia’s official position regarding the issue of normalization. They also called for setting a date for the adoption of the bill as soon as possible. Deputies, representing different parliamentary groups emphasised that «there was no reason to delay the plenary session». They criticized the «unilateral» decision of the Parliament speaker.
