The third edition of the short film festival "CINEMANA," aka the Tunis Short Film Days, will be held on September 4-9 at the Tunis City of Science (French: CST).
The event is organised by the French Alliance of Tunis (French: AFT) with the support of the Principality of Monaco, the Consulate General of Monaco in Tunis and the International Organisation of La Francophonie (French: OIF). It will provide an opportunity for the youths to screen their short films, get training and meet film professionals.
Open to all short films (fiction, documentary, animated or experimental films) directed by youths aged 16 to 30 and living in Tunisia, the CINEMANA's agenda includes film screenings, a short film competition, and image and sound training workshops run by film professionals.
These workshops are a key part of the event as they aim to build technical know-how while creating a community of passionate young artists.
Last year's edition saw the participation of some 300 young people from 12 Tunisian cities.
