Post: Three Tons of Rice Donated to Widows and Orphans of Defense Forces

Ouagadougou: The Minister, Chief of Staff of the President of Faso, Captain Martha Celeste Anderson Dekomwin Medah, presided over a ceremony at the 61st Commando Infantry Regiment (RIC) to present a donation of three tons of rice to widows and orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). This initiative was spearheaded by student interns in Human Resources, who are currently in patriotic immersion within the unit.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 9th edition of Cafe RH opened on September 4th with the HR Awards ceremony and continued in Tenkodogo with activities that included reflection, sport, and solidarity. Before the donation was made, participants engaged in a cross-country race and physical exercises alongside soldiers of the 61st RIC. Ousseni Sawadogo, a human resources management advisor at RTB, described the experience as a powerful moment of cohesion, stating, "We ran and sweated together. It allowed us to share a friendly moment and strengthen our fitness to work better."

Clemence Do, in charge of relations for the Cafe RH committee, noted that the patriotic immersion promotes relaxation and health while strengthening ties with security forces. Dr. Claude Aimee Tassembedo, the general coordinator of Cafe RH, emphasized that this initiative merges intellectual reflection with civic solidarity, acknowledging the sacrifices of the forces and the nation's shared suffering when one falls.

Commander Zenith Yaro, the commanding officer of the 61st RIC, expressed appreciation for the gesture, believing it will provide comfort to the bereaved families. The donation symbolizes the interns' civic commitment and gratitude to the FDS and VDP, as highlighted by Captain Medah, who commended the initiative and encouraged ongoing dedication to national solidarity.

The 9th edition of Cafe RH is set to conclude this evening with a closing ceremony at the Laafi Hotel.
