Tokyo: Burkinabe athlete Marthe Yasmine Koala finished 10th in the long jump final at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships, according to the Ministry of Sports. Marthe Koala was unable to reach the podium in the ranking of her event held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the National Stadium in Tokyo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, "in a final that began with a first jump of 6.49 m, Marthe Yasmine Koala fought with courage and dedication to improve her performance without, however, succeeding." The competition was dominated by American Tara De is-Woodhall, who won the gold medal with a jump of 7.13 m. German Malaka Mihamboli was runner-up with a jump of 6.99 m, while Mexican Nathalie Linares took bronze with a jump of 6.92 m.
