By Charity NginyuResidents of Mbengwi Road in Bamenda are reeling from shock and grief following the tragic death of a woman, identified only as Bernice who was fatally shot by unknown gunmen on Sunday night.The incident according to sources occurred around 10 PM at the Mbogam junction.According to eyewitnesses, Bernice was returning home from a family gathering with several relatives when the assailants struck. Reports say she was mercilessly shot in the head, succumbing to her injuries on the spot.The same gunmen also targeted the vehicle that had dropped her off, injuring one occupant. However, the driver managed to swiftly transport the wounded individual to St. Mary Hospital for urgent medical attention.The motive behind the killing remains unknown. Bernice, a Seamstress at the Bamenda main market, leaves behind a husband currently residing in Dubai.Source: Cameroon News Agency
