President Kais Saied briefed by Prime Minister on outcome of visit to Algeria

President Kais Saied met on Thursday at the Carthage Palace with Ahmed Hachani, who briefed him on the results of his visit to Algeria at the head of a large ministerial delegation. The President of the Republic praised the visit, which he described as "successful in every respect. It reflects the depth of the relations between the two peoples and the firm common will to develop and strengthen them, "because our future can only be one, as our history has been and as our hopes are", he was quoted as saying in a presidency statement. The meeting also discussed the government's work in the coming days, in particular the small cabinet meetings, where the draft finance and budget laws for the coming year will be studied before being discussed in a cabinet meeting and later submitted to the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP). On the other hand, the President of the Republic stressed during this meeting the need for the committees recently established to carry out a comprehensive audit of the recruitment and integration processes to carry out their work as soon as possible in order to cleanse the administration of those who were recruited outside the legal framework. "The war we are waging today against corruption is a relentless war because the Tunisian people, as they have expressed on many occasions, insist on holding the corrupt accountable and cleansing the country," he stressed, according to the same statement.
